Artist Julie Beck will be leading the four-day workshop, “Pigments of Your Imagination: Working with Invented Color,” at the Academy of Realist Art Boston this August.

The workshop invites artists to explore color beyond direct observation, using reference images as a starting point for creative interpretation. Through guided exercises and painting studies, participants will learn strategies for developing expressive color relationships, creating atmosphere, and using invented color to strengthen visual storytelling.

Workshops like this provide valuable opportunities for artists to expand their creative approach while building confidence in their decision-making. We are excited to see Julie share her knowledge and experience with fellow artists and wish everyone involved an inspiring and productive workshop.
