Inspirations: Garret McCall

The drawing is inspired by the Bible verse Isaiah 64:8: “Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” The drawing shows Jesus shaping a piece of clay, symbolizing humanity. Around Him are many pieces of pottery, each of different shapes and sizes, yet each with a purpose. The clay in His hands is soft and can be shaped, showing that being open allows God to form us. Each piece of pottery represents how God makes every person unique. The studio and the vessels create a simple, calm setting that focuses on the act of shaping and creating.
