Inspirations: Mashi Kulupana
The inspiration for this work is the landscape tradition, particularly the paintings of Fitz Henry Lane and Frederic Edwin Church.
In this composition, the reflection of the building on the water serves as a visual metaphor for the transparency of divine spirits. By referencing the Tonalist technique of using misty, low-contrast light, I aim to create a space where the environment preserves the secrets of the soul. The interaction between the glowing windows and the surrounding forest acts as a concrete link to the idea that nature is an abode for the divine, emphasizing the deep connection between life and the existence of the spirit.
