The inspiration for this work is the Genre Painting tradition, which celebrates the significance of everyday tasks. I have utilized oil paints to create a scene from my series “Little Universe,” where the world is shaped by childhood ambitions and the desire to do important, grown-up things. In this composition, the child Clara works in a bakery, dedicated to baking soft cakes for the other young residents of her community. By referencing the artistic focus on quiet, domestic labor, I aim to show a space defined by the dreams of children.
